High School Internship Program
Overview
Students will participate in Life Skills Seminars and interact with other students. Students will have a chance to become part of a team that will focus on becoming leaders that make a difference in their community. The College Prep World High School Internship will help students recognize their work values, skills and interests based on their interaction with their environment. Students will be able to form an identity and recognize their skills eventually leading them to making a career choice based on their self as it relates to their world. College Prep World believes the healthiest sense of self is manifested in one’s ability to serve others first.
Students who participate in the College Prep World High School Internship program will become aware of their own attitudes toward work and occupations. They will become more engaged in selecting a career. Students will become empowered with knowledge and information that can be used to help them make meaningful decisions in all phases of their life. Students will gain a broad awareness of the meaning of career and of how the world of work is organized. College Prep World believes students who fully engage in the College Prep World High School Internship program will learn to communicate their thoughts and express themselves better during social and professional interactions. In addition, students will learn better ways to build on their individual strengths and improve on their weaknesses. Furthermore College Prep World believes it is important students feel compelled to reach their full potential.
