NCAA Clearinghouse Information
Overview
The NCAA Clearinghouse is a section of the NCAA that has created a standardized format for registration and eligibility of students who wish to pursue athletics at the collegiate level. The NCAA Clearinghouse process must be completed by every student in a sport who wants to participate in collegiate athletics. We provide assistance with registration and determining eligibility.
How do I register for the Clearinghouse?
In recent years, the NCAA has made the normally cumbersome process of registering for the Clearinghouse into an automated one-stop registration. The family will go to www.eligibilitycenter.org to begin the process. The site is very colorful and will direct the user to make a choice. Currently the choice is enrollment before Spring 2010 or After Fall 2010. Please note that if your computer does not have the Flash application installed on it, registration may be very difficult.
Our staff will be happy to guide you through this online process once you create a login and password. The system is very user friendly and within the system are tasks which must be completed, such as transcripts. If followed, this is a very valuable tool.
Normal registration time is the start of the junior year. Without completion of this registration, which includes SAT scores, your student will be INELIGIBLE to participate in sports at the collegiate level.
